One of Nintendo’s major announcements at the Nintendo Direct last week was Nintendo Switch Sports, a successor to Wii Sports that will launch this April. It will deliver soccer, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton, and chambara (swordplay) that is playable both locally and online, and golf will be added post-launch in case. But before all of that, Nintendo is conducting a Nintendo Switch Sports online play test this weekend, and registration to partake in it is open now. You must be logged in to a Nintendo Account and have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership though.
Below are the rather narrow times the Nintendo Switch Sports online play test will be available. Those accepted into the test will be entered into random games of tennis, bowling, or chambara specifically, and Nintendo will use data collected to “evaluate various technical aspects and help improve the quality of the game.”
Register to join the Nintendo Switch Sports online play test at these times
- 3:00-3:45 am PT
- 11:00-11:45 am PT
- 7:00-7:45pm PT
Hopefully, some of you are really eager to play Nintendo Switch Sports either in the dead of night or first thing in the morning. In any case, the game will retail for $39.99 when it launches on April 29, and it will include a “Leg Strap” accessory for playing soccer.
